- Cloud technology is too new. Security will improve, and software will get faster over time.
- The cloud runs itself. This is both true and not true – information and data from an infrastructure perspective can be automated (i.e. running timely backups) but – depending on the needs of your business – using cloud technology still requires knowledgeable experts to manage and run it properly.
- One size fits all. It’s interesting to me that the security risks with the cloud are actually the same as other IT solutions to storing data. That makes me happy because I’m hoping to move all of our data into the cloud so that it’s easier to manage. Knowing that it’ll not only be easy to manage but secure makes me feel relieved.
