Aruba Networks Recruits Former Avaya Executive as VP of Worldwide Channel Sales
Former Avaya channel executive, Karl Soderlund, has been taken on by Aruba Networks as the vice president (VP) for the company’s worldwide channel sales. In his new role, Soderlund will be in charge of all channel-related duties. These duties include recruitment, development of global alliances and managing Aruba’s international distribution structure for partner training, enablement and pre-sales support. Soderlund’s qualifications for this new position include his former job leading the Americas channel sales at Avaya, and channel-related positions at Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Fortinet and Extreme Networks. Aruba executives believe Soderlund will be a great fit as the new VP of worldwide channel sales.
Soderlund will report to Aruba Networks’ Worldwide sales executive VP John DiLullo, who believes that Soderlund will make a great addition to the team at Aruba Networks. “[Soderlund’s] broad networking technology experience and proven track record for developing first-rate sales and channel programs, coupled with his passion for motivating teams to deliver best-in-class support and drive sales, will be key assets as we grow our worldwide channel organization,” DiLullo said.
Aruba Networks is a California-based networking vendor which sells enterprise wireless LAN and edge access networking equipment. In regards to the company’s previous vice president of Channels, Jim Harold, it is unclear whether he is still working there. If he is, it is speculated that he will report to Soderlund.
