Avaya acquires Esna Technologies for accelerated collaboration
Avaya has officially completed the acquisition of Esna Technologies Inc. (Esna), a leading provider of embedded communication and real-time collaboration solutions. Through the acquisition of Esna, Avaya end-users will now be able to effortlessly access multi-vendor communications capabilities including conferencing, IM/presence, voice, video, and messaging from devices of their choice via cloud-based business applications.
Gary Barnett, SVP and GM of Avaya Engagement Solutions stated, "For all the effort that the industry has invested in business communications, most offers fall woefully short of the seamless user experience that leads to effortless engagement."
With the acquisition of Esna, Avaya's solutions will no longer fall short of a seamless user experience.
Esna is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avaya, with Avaya acquiring assets, employees, customers, and intellectual property.
"Esna and Avaya are building the future of collaboration experience - a future where communication is embedded directly into the applications, processes and workflows that drive how work gets done. By uniting our strengths and resources, we'll be able to offer truly innovative solutions that give companies real choice when it comes to the applications and devices they use to communicate and collaborate with their employees, customers and partners," said Mohammed Nezarati, Esna CEO.
Already integrated with Avaya Scopia Desktop, Esna-enabled Avaya Communicator web client will now be available for both Avaya IP Office and Avaya Aura platforms. The Avaya Communicator web client will also have out-of-the-box video and voice capabilities that can easily be meshed into public or private cloud-based business applications.
Other popular business applications that Esna seamlessly integrates with include:
