Other Cloud Offerings
Converged Communication Systems provides on-premise, hybrid, private, and public cloud solutions to meet your telephony, application, and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) needs. In partnership with Stratosphere Networks, we offer a full range of cloud solutions for businesses and lines of business applications that are critical for any company.
With the onset of public or private cloud and hosted applications, clients have an even greater appetite for bigger bandwidth and faster and more guaranteed Internet speeds. Once you start moving application servers from a local data closet to the cloud, data center or, colocation, without the proper design, your business won't achieve optimum performance - which could negatively impact the entire company.
Converged Cloud Design and Migration AssistanceFor businesses that need to migrate to the cloud, the move can be tricky if it isn't planned correctly. CCS engineers will review your current IT and telecom infrastructure, in addition to considering your desired outcome. Then, our engineers will review your line of business applications and how your end users utilize each application. We will also monitor your performance to ensure our design team has a complete understanding of how your applications work in your current environment.
From there, our design team builds a foundation and a design based on your business needs, projected growth, performance metrics, and use case. This will allow your business to move to the cloud with minimal downtime on migration day, and it will ensure that performance is equal to or better than it was before your company made the switch.
Because performance is subjective to each end user, our team works with key individuals from each department to assess how technology is used and accessed. We conduct bandwidth and performance reviews, with a focus on application and Internet performance. In addition, our team will identify remote working situations and locations, as well as any other sites that need access to information.
CCS will outline a phased approach to migration. We typically encourage bandwidth increases at your core sites to ensure an optimal performance of at least 100Mbps. Our carrier service team provides multiple service provider Internet, MPLS, and site-to-site Internet connectivity options for your business. Once the speed to the outside world is sufficient, we'll migrate your applications in a controlled test fashion to minimize downtime and business disruption post-move.
Migrating to another application or simply moving your core infrastructure, telephony or core server applications to a new location will cause business disruption. Our solution architects work diligently to design a strategy to minimize disruption and at times eliminate by leveraging a number of intelligent tools and technologies. Our goal is to make the transition to the new application or equipment location as seamless and transparent as possible.
How We Minimize Disruption During MigrationMigrating to another application or simply moving your core infrastructure, telephony, or core server applications to a new location will cause business disruption. Our solution architects work diligently to design a strategy to minimize or even eliminate disruption by leveraging a number of intelligent tools and technologies. Our goal is to make the transition to the new application or equipment location as seamless and transparent as possible.
Some common migration examples include the following:
- Physical server to a virtual server
- Physical server to managed server located in a data center
- Migrating to IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
- Migrating e-mail store to a new location, such as Microsoft Office 365, Hosted Exchange, Private Exchange or simply upgrading an older version of Exchange
- Migrating your core telephony call servers and applications to a highly reliable data center and remotely connecting sites
- Moving on-premise technologies to a data center
- Eliminating line of business applications that reside on internal application servers to the cloud or a private data center
- Moving or relocating your telephony, IT, and data infrastructure to a new location, or centralizing it in a data center, managed infrastructure center, or colocation
Cloud offers yet another option for clients. However, moving to the cloud doesn't just happen with the flick of a switch. It must be a highly planned event to ensure optimum performance. Public cloud is more limited, providing your business with only a handful of options, flavors, and online trainings, in addition to a common support hotline. On the other hand, private cloud allows your business to leverage the full features of your applications, manage it the way you want, and get individualized training, as well as a higher level of more intimate support. No matter which option you choose, let the engineers at CCS help design, build, migrate, and support your business applications in a way that meets your company's needs.
