Yvonne Cruz
Yvonne Cruz is the manager of accounting for Stratosphere Networks and Converged Communication Systems (CCS). After graduating from DePaul University with a bachelor’s degree in business management, she began her career as a project specialist for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) law department. In that role, she collaborated with attorneys and the general counsel concerning all criminal activity on CTA property. She resigned from that position to concentrate on raising her children and volunteered at her sons’ school, eventually obtaining a position at Timothy Christian Schools in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Yvonne joined the Stratosphere/CCS team in September 2016 as a commissions manager. She quickly learned the ins and outs of the company’s systems and the monthly commissions completion process. In her current role as director of accounting, she checks the commission portals daily, keeps expense reports in order for submission at the end of each month, completes the commission run for each sales representative at the end of the month, manages the accounts payable inbox, and addresses commission and supplier needs. Additionally, she reviews daily payments received, manages monthly credit card statements, audits accounts, and oversees accounts payable in terms of paying approved suppliers, adding entries to QuickBooks, paying invoices in accordance with what the client accepts, and filing email requests according to the supplier folder.
In addition to her degree from DePaul, Yvonne is licensed as a commercial loan broker. She lives in the west suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Horatio, and their sons, Christian and Daniel. In her free time, she enjoys working out, taking Zumba classes and being a #BOYMOM.
