Helen Nevius
Helen Nevius is the director of content for Stratosphere Networks and Converged Communication Systems (CCS).
Originally from southeast Michigan, Helen always wanted to be a writer and earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Eastern Michigan University (EMU). As a college student, she interned at The Ann Arbor Chronicle, covering local government and arts and entertainment stories. After graduating from EMU, she moved to Chicago and earned her master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
After grad school, Helen worked for a start-up called The Medicare NewsGroup, which served as a resource for journalists covering Medicare news, policy, and legislation. After leaving that position, she served as a writer and editor for Becker’s Healthcare, reporting on hospital finance and transaction news. Immediately before joining the Stratosphere/CCS team, Helen worked as a full-time freelance writer, producing consumer education articles on personal finance and reports and white papers on healthcare topics.
In her current role as part of the Stratosphere and CCS marketing department, Helen defines the content strategy for both brands. She produces blogs, press releases, email campaigns and website copy to boost brand awareness, capture the attention of prospective clients, and strengthen relationships with current clients. Her notable accomplishments include providing editorial oversight for Stratosphere’s Tech Tips, Tech Talks, CMO Insights, Cyber Corner, and IT Consulting Review blog series.
Helen lives in Chicago with her husband, Landry, and their pets, Babaloo (a cat) and Doobie (a dog named after Scooby Doo). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, making extremely slow progress on knitting projects, and attempting to defuse tensions and forge an alliance between Babaloo and Doobie.
